Community Leadership Programme update

Congratulations to the 28 groups that have been awarded places on the 2009-2010 Community Leadership Programme.

NICVA, in conjunction with the International Fund for Ireland (IFI), has launched the £2.1 million Community Leadership Programme for Northern Ireland and the southern border counties. The groups were selected from across the 12 participating counties. Each group has nominated five individuals who will work towards achieving a level three in Leadership from the Institute for Leadership and Management. The group will also have the opportunity to tailor a training programme to meet the needs of their group and receive a bursary of £2,500 to undertake a small project.

Three roundtable events brought together clusters of groups to network and learn from each other. The first roundtable took place at the Glenavon Hotel, Cookstown on 28 April 2009, with a further two on 7 May in Belfast and 14 May in Donegal Town.
