The session will introduce organisations to the full range of fundraising approaches, methods and techniques used by professional fundraisers and household name charities while explaining how smaller local organisations can implement them.
Participants will also be asked to review their own fundraising practice and capacity challenging them to consider what methods and techniques they have used in the past, currently use and have considered using. They will be taken through exercises to ascertain what proportion of their income comes from grants, earning and community fundraising.
As places are limited, please return your booking form as soon as possible to Roisin Kelly.
They will also consider how sustainable these sources are. Organisations will also be asked to review their fundraising capacity - what skills, resources and networks they have with regards to fundraising - how much time and money (if any) do they invest in fundraising.
Practical exercises will help to underline the importance of a diverse income base and in receiving money from unrestricted sources. Organisations will be challenged to consider how they might increase their capacity to fundraise through developing volunteer networks, partnerships with other charities or investment in their own fundraising capacity.
